From mid-December to the end of March, Banderas Bay offers some of the world’s most spectacular whale watching opportunities anywhere. And as Vallarta Adventures is the only tour company in the Banderas Bay area with a spotter plane, we can get you closer than you ever thought possible to witness these awesome creatures in action.
Our light aircraft is in constant radio contact with each of our boat captains and reports sightings immediately from all over the bay. No matter which of our four exciting tours you choose, they all deliver an exhilarating and life changing insight into whales and their habitat.
A photo captures a single moment in time, and this specialized excursion is designed to capture the magical moment when you encounter wild dolphins and majestic humpback whales in the Bay of Banderas. The essence of the Whale Photo Safari is to find the wildlife and enjoy those precious moments when you can sit peacefully and watch the whales and dolphins play, breach, or just hang out.
Marine Mammal Experts
Conducted on our new all weather inflatable speed boats to ensure a safe and comfortable ride, our whale watching photo safaris are guided by exceptionally talented marine mammal behavior experts who are passionate about protecting wildlife and the environment. As we follow these magnificent mammals across Banderas Bay, our professional guides’ knowledge and insight will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation for the wildlife that you’ll encounter on this unforgettable whale watching experience.
The Whales Lead the Way
There is no such thing as a “typical day” on this adventure tour, because often it is the “wild ones” (the whales and dolphins) who are in charge of the daily itinerary. We can’t always predict where they are, so we will let them guide us along their preferred route of the day.
Available Dec -March, our Whale Watching Photo Safari is one of the most popular whale watching tours in Puerto Vallarta and spaces are limited. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to photograph Humpback whales in Banderas Bay.
We are the only company that uses a light aircraft spotter plane to track the whales.
